The Dream
Honest Abe Comfort Solutions has been a long-time dream of mine, even though I didn’t always know I wanted to start my own company. I spent many years learning the trade and I realized that being good at what you do is about more than just technical knowledge—it’s about how you treat people.
I founded Honest Abe’s because I wanted to put the customer’s best interest first. That simple principle still drives everything we do.
Veteran Owned Company
I proudly and honorably served in the United States Marine Corps. Joining right out of high school, my time in the Marines shaped who I am. I built lifelong friendships—brothers, really—and every year I look forward to celebrating the Marine Corps birthday with them.
Our family business carries on that spirit of service. Every holiday season, we donate to the Marine Corps Toys for Tots program. From the very beginning, I knew I wanted to honor veterans and active-duty service members by offering discounts on both repairs and system replacements. One of my favorite parts of the job is meeting fellow Marines and having them sign the flag that hangs in my personal office.
How I Started
After leaving the Marines, I wasn’t quite sure what I wanted to do—but I knew I wanted to make a difference in people’s lives. I started as an Install Helper with one of the largest HVAC companies in the DFW area. I worked my way up to Lead Installer and eventually became their top Installation Expert, installing over a million dollars in equipment annually. Back then that was a lot of jobs, so I’ve encountered just about every HVAC scenario you can imagine—complicated installs, unusual system designs, tough repair calls—and that experience has given me the confidence that there’s nothing I can’t figure out when it comes to heating and air conditioning.
Once I had mastered installation, I sought out the best service technicians in the industry so I could learn service and maintenance. It was challenging, but I loved it—and most of all, I loved earning the trust and appreciation of my customers.
With years of experience under my belt and a vision for something better, I took a leap of faith and launched Honest Abe Comfort Solutions in 2018.
